BE A HORSE HERO

GIVE

Everything looks different on horseback, including you. You’ll see that you’re capable of more than you think. You’ll discover new friends, new skills and strengths you didn’t know you had. You’ll see a future filled with opportunities, and that you’re strong enough to seize them.

There’s so much to love about being a volunteer at HorsePower. Our horses. The children, young people, adults and families we support, all living with diversabilities. But most of all, the priceless transformations they’ll make with your help.

Our therapeutic horses are unique vehicles that inspire positive life changes for people with diversabilities. The services they provide make a big difference in the lives of people in your community. We invite you to be their hero. Please consider donating, sponsoring or adopting a horse.

There are so many ways to give to HorsePower. We encourage you to find which giving options are best for you. All donations to HorsePower are tax deductible and 100% of all donations go directly towards empowering people with diversabilities to live the life they want.

ABOUT HORSEPOWER AUSTRALIA

HorsePower Australia, previously known as Riding for the Disabled Association of WA Inc. (RDAWA), is a registered voluntary, charitable, not for profit organisation that provides people with diversabilities opportunities that empower them to break through physical, cognitive, emotional and social barriers utilising the power of the horse to develop new skills, discover new abilities and define the life they want to live.

Our 13 affiliated member centres provide a variety of programs including riding, carriage driving, vaulting, hippotherapy and walking with horses to people with physical, intellectual, emotional and social challenges each year.

We have been providing unique life-changing activities in Western Austrlaia since 1972, and take great pride in the fact that our organisation is largely run by volunteers (96%) within the local communities in which our member centres operate.  We are part of a worldwide movement and affiliated with the Federation of Horses in Education and Therapy International (HETI) and Disability Sports Australia.

We rely greatly on the generosity of the WA community to provide support and donations that helps us provide therapeutic goal-based activities for children and adults with diversabilities.
