The inaugural Hobby Horse Rainbow Championship Series, presented by HorsePower Australia and Community TAB is a great way for horse lovers of all ages and abilities to enjoy the pleasure and freedom of imagination and the experience of working with your horse to overcome obstacles and challenges whilst having some amazing adventures along the way.
There is something for everyone in the Hobby Horse Rainbow Championship Series with events being held over April and May including:
- Best Presented: 20th - 26th April 2020
- Showjumping: 27th April - 3rd May 2020
- Dressage: 4th - 10th May 2020
- Handy Pony Trail - Working Trails: 11th - 17th May 2020
- Western Barrel Racing: 18th - 24th May 2020
- Musical Ride: 25th - 31st May - 2020
Like any good equestrian event the first stage is selecting your horse and getting them ready for competition. Bring your own hobby horse or make your own, there are so many different breeds of hobby horses out there so get creative and let your imagination run wild. Details on the rules of each event will be sent to registered participants one week prior to entry deadline.

How will the events be run?
The events will be run online to encourage horse lovers of all levels to get involved and have some fun whilst social distancing. They will be judged by HorsePower Australia Coaches. By participating in this online competition you will be able to:
- Participate in your own time
- Compete against others across the globe
- Support HorsePower Australia to continue to empower people with diversabilities
It's easy to get involved. You will need the following:
- Level area to ride on - indoors or outdoors
- Device with video capabilities
- Ability to upload online
Entry Costs
Entry for each event is $10 per participant and horse combination. If you wish to enter the whole series and be in with a chance of being named the Rainbow Championship Series Champion the cost is $50.
All participants will be awarded a Rainbow participation ribbon that will be posted out to everyone following the competition series along with a participation certificate as a thank you for supporting HorsePower Australia.
